Professor Eugenia Kalnay is the 54th recipient of the International Meteorological Organization (IMO) Award in 2010 for her work on numerical weather prediction, data assimilation, and ensemble forecasting. The IMO Prize is the highest award given by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

Professor Eugenia Kalnay became the first Eugenia Brin Endowed Professorship of Data Assimilation, Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, University of Maryland, in 2008.
