Advanced Methods in Data Assimilation for the Earth Sciences
Spring 2007
Time and Location: Friday 3:00 pm-5:45 pm, CSS 2428
Instructor: Istvan Szunyogh
This course will give an in-depth overview of the latest developments in atmospheric data assimilation, with a strong emphasis on the assimilation of remote sense data. The lectures will be given by Istvan Szunyogh, Prof. Kalnay and leading experts of the field from NCEP, ECMWF, NESDIS and NASA. Since many lectures will be given by guest speakers some changes in the order of the lectures are possible.
